Assistant Attorney General Records Access Officer Office of the Attorney General One Ashburton Place, 20th Floor Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Rush: I have received the petition of Julian Tarver appealing the response of the Office of the Attorney General (AGO) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). In a letter dated April 26, 2025, and received by the AGO on May 6, 2025, Mr. Tarver requested, “[c]opies of all court filed records of US Dist Court case 1:17-cv-12255-RGS Doe v. Massachusetts DOC and 1:20-cv-10017-ADB.” The AGO provided Mr. Tarver with a response on May 20, 2025. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Tarver petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2056, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the AGO provided Mr. Tarver with a further response on July 28, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the AGO’s May 20th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Tarver may appeal the substantive nature of the AGO’s July 28th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
