The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records July 17, 2025 SPR25/2067 Hanne Rush, Esq. Assistant Attorney General Records Access Officer Office of the Attorney General One Ashburton Place, 20th Floor Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Rush: I have received the petition of Murat Erkan, Esq., of Erkan & Sullivan, PC, appealing the nonresponse of the Office of the Attorney General (AGO) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 30, 2025, Attorney Erkan requested “... the docket numbers of all cases in which your office charged any of the following offenses from October 21, 2021, to present:” [1] Manslaughter by MV (G.L. c. 265 s 13 1/2)[;] [2] Homicide by MV while OUI (G.L. c. 90 s 24G (a) or (b))[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Erkan petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2067, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the AGO provided Attorney Erkan with a response on July 16, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the AGO’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Erkan may appeal the substantive nature of the AGO’s July 16th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Murat Erkan, Esq.
