Assistant Corporation Counsel City of Fall River One Government Center Fall River, MA 02722 Dear Attorney Howayeck: On July 16, 2025, this office received your petition on behalf of the City of Fall River (City) seeking an extension of time to produce records. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c). As required by law, it is my understanding that the City furnished a copy of the petition to the requestor, Collin Dias. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv)(2). On July 2, 2025, Mr. Dias requested “[a]ll emails to and from [an identified individual], that contain the following key words: School, PACE, School Department, School Committee, Nagle, Nagle Auditorium, Durfee, Superintendent[.]” Subsequent to the opening of this petition, in an email to the City and this office on July 17, 2025, Mr. Dias stated, “I withdraw this specific records request…” In light of the decision to withdraw the request, I find it is unnecessary to opine on the City’s time petition.
