The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records July 23, 2025 SPR25/2079 Molly Fitzpatrick Deputy Town Administrator Town of Westwood 580 High Street Westwood, MA 02090 Dear Ms. Fitzpatrick: I have received the petition of Tina Brown appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Westwood (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 30, 2025, Ms. Brown requested “… the full set of architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications for Fire Station 2 in electronic format[.]” Prior Appeal A similar request was the subject of a prior appeal. See SPR25/1439 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (June 5, 2025). In my June 5th determination, I ordered the Town to revise its fee estimate or provide additional explanation of how its assessed fee was consistent with the Public Records Law. Subsequently, Ms. Brown submitted her June 30th request. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Brown petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2079, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided Ms. Brown with a response on July 23, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Brown may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s July 23rd response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
