Tivnan Drive West Boylston, MA 01583 Dear Mr. Gould: I have received the petition of Clarence Risher appealing the response of the Worcester County Sherriff’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 18, 2025, Mr. Risher requested: [Two videos] show ten uniformed and/or armed individuals, some of whom are identified by nametags reading [six identified individuals], all of whom appear to be wearing Deputy Sheriff badges of various ranks. I am requesting all records establishing or confirming their employment, rank, deputization, POST certification, and/or presence on the date and/or during the event partially shown in those videos, all records pertaining to their actions related to that date and/or event, all records in their possession during the event in question, and all records pertaining to the actions of other officers, agents, or employees related to that event. The requested records include but are not limited to shift schedules, assignment logs, dispatch logs, radio logs, vehicle assignments, vehicle mileage reports, incident reports, execution forms, ‘pink sheets’ provided by the landlord(s), equipment check-out or check-in logs for equipment in the officers possession during the event, pay records covering that day including overtime application or approval, sign-in and sign-out sheets, navigational device history and logs, deputization records, promotion records, demotion records, certification records, etc. The Office responded on July 18, 2025. Unsatisfied with the Office’s response, Mr. Risher petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2135, was opened as a result. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s July 18th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
