The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records August 6, 2025 SPR25/2161 Brandon P. Hunt, Esq. Assistant District Attorney Records Access Officer Norfolk District Attorney’s Office 45 Shawmut Road Canton, MA 02021 Dear Attorney Hunt: I have received the petition of Nikki Conway appealing the nonresponse of the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 8, 2025, Ms. Conway requested “the sidebar transcripts from [an identified trial].” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Conway petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2161, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided Ms. Conway with a response on August 6, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Conway may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Nikki Conway One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
