Scott appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Correction - MCI Norfolk (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 24, 2025, Mr. Scott requested “[a]ll January 2020 – June 2025 Department of Public Health biannual inspection reports and recommendations for MCI-Norfolk to include all reports of asbestos, hazardous material, fire safety conditions, electrical wiring maintenance.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Scott petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2342, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Scott with a response on July 31, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
