The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 3, 2025 SPR25/2461 Darian Roberts, Esq. Assistant General Counsel/Records Access Officer Office of the Comptroller One Ashburton Place Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Roberts: I have received the petition of Corri A. Hopkins, Esq., of Parker Poe, appealing the response of the Office of the Comptroller (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 22, 2025, Attorney Hopkins requested, “...records (aggregate reports and supporting documentation (e.g., invoices)) reflecting all expenditures made by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office from its forfeiture trust fund in 2025.” On August 19, 2025, the Office provided a response. Unsatisfied with the Office’s response, Attorney Hopkins petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2461, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office sent a supplemental response to Attorney Hopkins on September 2, 2025. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s August 19, 2025 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Hopkins may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s September 2nd response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Corri A. Hopkins, Esq. One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
