The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 5, 2025 SPR25/2489 Hanne Rush, Esq. Assistant Attorney General Records Access Officer Office of the Attorney General One Ashburton Place, 20th Floor Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Rush: I have received the petition of David Bloore appealing the response of the Office of the Attorney General (AGO) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 5, 2025, Mr. Bloore requested, “[d]ocumentation regarding the Massachusetts Attorney General’s current policies and most recent prior policies on penalty calculations, particularly in reference to civil citations issuable by the Fair Labor Division.” The AGO responded on August 13, 2025 and August 19, 2025. Unsatisfied with the responses, Mr. Bloore petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2489, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the AGO provided Mr. Bloore with a further response on September 5, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the AGO’s August 13th and August 19th responses, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Bloore may appeal the substantive nature of the AGO’s September 5th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: David Bloore One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
