The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 19, 2025 SPR25/2752 Adrian Walleigh, Esq. Counsel and Records Access Officer Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities 110 Cambridge Street, Suite 300 Boston, MA 02114 Dear Attorney Walleigh: On September 18, 2025, this office received your petition on behalf of the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (Office), seeking permission to charge for time spent segregating or redacting responsive records. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.06(4). As required by law, it is my understanding that the Office furnished a copy of the petition to the requestor, Karen Anzalone. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv)(2). On August 21, 2025, Ms. Anzalone requested the following records between September 1, 2023 and March 1, 2025, “all records / communications / statements / research and / or documentation between [an identified individual] and EOHLC during [an identified individual’s] time in state housing at … Palmer Street in Winchester, MA.” Subsequent to the opening of this petition, in an email to this office on September 18, 2025, Ms. Anzalone stated, “I am sending a check in the amount of $54.00 via Federal Express to the attention of Adrian Walleigh of EOHLC…” Where the requestor intends to pay the fees, I find it is unnecessary to opine on the Office’s petition at this time. Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Karen Anzalone One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
