The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records October 6, 2025 SPR25/2807 Christine O’Donnell, Esq. Assistant Corporation Counsel Boston Police Department 1 City Hall Square Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney O’Donnell: I have received the petition of Christian Baillet, Esq., appealing the response of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 19, 2025, Attorney Baillet requested, [C]opies of any and all police reports, investigative notes and/or investigative records made in regard to the investigation of the theft that occurred at [an identified street address], as first reported on December 16, 2022. This includes the initial police work done on this case by initial reporting officers as well as subsequent investigations done by [an identified police officer]. Specifically, I am seeking the following: 1. Initial and subsequent police reports in this matter; 2. A copy of any investigative notes not otherwise captured in these police reports; 3. A copy of any recorded interviews conducted in the course of this investigation; 4. Any documents that otherwise document interviews conducted in this investigation. The Department responded on August 20, September 4, September 5, and September 25, 2025. Unsatisfied with the Department’s responses, Attorney Baillet petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/2807, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the Department provided a supplemental response on October 1, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s August 20, September 4, September 5, and September 25, 2025 responses, I will now consider this appeal closed.
