Pacino Inspector of Divisions City of Quincy Police Department 1 Sea Street Quincy, MA 02169 Dear Lieutenant Pacino: I have received the petition of Robert McGrath appealing the nonresponse of the Quincy Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 23, 2025, Mr. McGrath requested records related to an identified incident. On October 28, 2025, Mr. McGrath clarified his request to seek “[i]ncident reports on 09/23 on 11/20 at [an identified address.]” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records to his September 23rd request, Mr. McGrath petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/3079, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. McGrath with two responses dated October 28, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. McGrath may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s responses within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
