Assistant General Counsel Records Access Officer Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority 10 Park Plaza Suite 3910 Boston, MA 02116 Dear Attorney Ciollo: I have received the petition of Gaming Gamer (requestor) appealing the response of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 8, 2025, the requestor, on behalf of a game developer for the community of NETransit, sought “...raw audio files used for automated Orange Line announcements (Case No. R001090-090825) and Orange Line Station announcements, including special announcements, like belongings, taken out of service and more.” The MBTA responded on September 9, 2025. Unsatisfied with the MBTA’s response, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/3130, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the MBTA sent a further response to the requestor on November 7, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the MBTA’s September 9, 2025 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the MBTA’s November 7th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
