The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records November 3, 2025 SPR25/3212 Christine O’Donnell, Esq. Assistant Corporation Counsel Office of the Legal Advisor Boston Police Department 1 Schroeder Plaza Boston, MA 02120 Dear Attorney O’Donnell: I have received the petition of Glenn Jones, of NBC10 Boston, appealing the nonresponse of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 16, 2025, Mr. Jones requested “[e]lectronic mail records to and from the email account of Superintendent Lanita Cullinane of the Boston Police Department that contains the terms monkeypox, mpox and/or quarantine between the dates of September 1, 2025 and October 15, 2025.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Jones petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/3212, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Jones with a response on November 3, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Jones may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Glenn Jones One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
