The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records November 20, 2025 SPR25/3310 Michael C. Arnold Public Records Access Officer Bristol County Sheriff’s Office 400 Faunce Corner Road N. Dartmouth, MA 02747 Dear Mr. Arnold: I have received the petition of Grace Ferguson, of The New Bedford Light, appealing the nonresponse of the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 14, 2025, Ms. Ferguson requested: the following records regarding public records requests from August 1, 2025 to the date of the fulfillment of this request: 1. All correspondence with records requestors regarding their records request(s) 2. All responses to records requests, including copies of responsive records Please limit your search to records requests submitted by requestors using emails under the “@globe.com” domain. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Ferguson petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/3310, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided Ms. Ferguson with a response on November 13, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Ferguson may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
