The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records November 14, 2025 SPR25/3323 Amy Dowler Administrative Assistant to the Chief Middleborough Police Department 350 Wood Street Middleborough, MA 02346 Dear Ms. Dowler: I have received the petition of Brandon Stokes, of 7 NEWS WHDH Boston, appealing the nonresponse of the Middleborough Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 15, 2025, Mr. Stokes requested “Middleborough Police bodycam video and dashcam video of the [named] incident around 11pm on Saturday 10/4/25. . .” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Stokes petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/3323, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Stokes with a response on October 16, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Stokes may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
