The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records November 14, 2025 SPR25/3353 JoAnn Gillis Records Access Officer Abington Police Department 215 Central Street P. O. Box 2113 Abington, MA 02351 Dear Ms. Gillis: I have received the petition of Michael Levinson, Esq., of Brainsky Levinson, LLC, on behalf of his clients, Kevin and Ann Paicos, appealing the response of the Abington Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 12, 2025, Attorney Levinson requested “all police records involving [a named individual] from January 1, 1997 through his eighteenth birthday (June 7, 2001).” The Department responded on October 27, 2025. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Attorney Levinson petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/3353, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that the Department provided a supplemental response by email to Attorney Levinson and this office on November 14, 2025. As this appeal was opened based on the Department’s October 27th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. If unresolved issues remain, Attorney Levinson may further appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s November 14th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
