G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.06(4). As required by law, it is my understanding that the Department furnished a copy of the petition to the requestor, Brenda Vess, of the Mapfre Insurance Company. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv)(2). On December 9, 2025, Ms. Vess requested: [1] Color copies of pictures taken from the scene[;] [2] Copies of body camera videos[.] Subsequent to the opening of this petition, in an email to the Department and this office on December 20, 2025, Ms. Vess stated, “…we will process payment.” Where the requestor intends to pay the fees, I find it is unnecessary to opine on the Department’s petition at this time.
