See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 1, 2025, Mr. McCormick requested all personal records associated with [named individuals] including but not limited to: [1] All 51A reports and reporter narratives; [2] All 51B investigations, notes, assessments, and supervisor approvals; [3] All case activity logs, running notes, DocuShare entries, internal communications, and uploaded documents; [4] All records relating to known investigations and removals, including the early 2024 Hyde Park investigation, the May 2024 removal and placement denial involving [an identified individual] and the February-May investigation… Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. McCormick petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/3854, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. McCormick with a response on January 6, 2026. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. McCormick has appealed the substantive nature of the Department’s January 6th response resulting in a new appeal, which is currently opened as SPR26/0093.
