The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records January 27, 2026 SPR26/0137 Elizabeth D. Paine, CMC Town Clerk Town of Provincetown 260 Commercial Street Provincetown, MA 02657 Dear Ms. Paine: I have received the petition of Brandon Stokes, of 7NEWS WHDH Boston, appealing the response of the Town of Provincetown (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, §10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 13, 2026, Mr. Stokes requested, “... surveillance video from Provincetown Municipal Airport of a small plane crashing around 3:30pm on Sunday 1/4/26.” The Town responded on January 13, 2026. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. Stokes petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/0137, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town sent a further response to Mr. Stokes on January 22, 2026. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s January 13, 2026 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Stokes may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s January 22nd response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
