Fenlon Assistant Chancellor Government Relations/ Special Assistant to the Chancellor University of Massachusetts, Boston Office of Communications 100 Morrissey Boulevard Boston, MA 02125 Dear Mr. Fenlon: I have received the petition of Richard Moore appealing the nonresponse of the University of Massachusetts, Boston (University) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 18, 2025, Mr. Moore requested the following: [1] Annual contributions, grants, or donations from LeadingAge to UMass Boston, the Gerontology Institute, or the LTSS Center, from 2017 to the present[;] [2] Any other payments, transfers, or financial support (including contracts, sponsorships, or program funding) provided by LeadingAge to these entities during the same period[;] [3] Supporting documentation such as agreements, memoranda of understanding, or correspondence that outline the nature and purpose of these payments[.] Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Moore petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/0150, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the University intends on providing a written response to Mr. Moore. Accordingly, the University is ordered to provide Mr. Moore with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office.
