Assistant District Attorney Records Access Officer Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office 45 Shawmut Road Canton, MA 02021 Dear Attorney Hunt: I have received the petition of Kyle Sharkey appealing the nonresponse of the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 28, 2026, Mr. Sharkey requested: [1] all E-mail correspondence including attachments, audio voicemails between or regarding [identified] (REDACTED) Email address (REDACTED). See attached photo of previous released public records request with redaction made. The full name and email address is known to the NDAO to or from any Employee current or former of the NDAO. Regarding the death of boston police officer [identified] including [identified individual and case number] [2]…all documents concerning the communication to [identified] that [identified] stated in email “Good afternoon [identified] communicated your note of concern to us while we were actively filming the very statement you were suggesting” What statement was suggested and used in [identified] Statement. [3] …the document that NDA [identified] was reading during his statement to the public regarding the [identified]/Witnesses. Video related to all records. DA [identified] video statement on [identified] Case. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Sharkey petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/0547, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Office has provided a response.
