Sherblom Holden Police Department 1370 Main Street Holden, MA 01520 Dear Chief Sherblom: I have received the petition of Kyle Sharkey appealing the response of the Holden Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, §10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 7, 2026, Mr. Sharkey requested the following records for “Date Range April 2023- Present [including] Search [identified] Term/Subject”: [1] all police reports[;] [2] all recordngs of phone calls to/from the department[;] [3] all email correspondence including attachments to or from [an identified individual including email addresses][;] [4] letters, written statements, exhibits, documents provided to the Police Department[;] [5] Recordings of Interviews made at the Department[.] The Department responded on February 19, 2026, February 25, 2026, and March 3, 2026. Unsatisfied with the Department’s responses, Mr. Sharkey petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/0744, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department sent a further response to Mr. Sharkey on March 16, 2026. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s February 19th, February 25th, and March 3rd responses, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Sharkey may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s March 16th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
