See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 8, 2026, Mr. Balestracci requested, “[a]ll Internal Affairs Reports related to [an identified individual]. The Department responded on January 9, 2026. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Balestracci petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/0805, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Balestracci with a supplemental response on March 9, 2026. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s January 9, 2026 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Balestracci may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s March 9th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
