See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 3, 2025 Ms. Karimi sought records related to an identified case. Specifically, Ms. Karimi requested the following: [1] Missing person and incident reports[;] [2] Case summaries, updates, or status reports[;] [3] Dispatch logs or call records related to the initial report[;] [4] Investigative reports, notes, or timelines[;] [5] Property- or vehicle-related reports connected to the case[;] [6] Photos and list of items found in [an identified individual’s] car and apartment[;] [7] CCTV/video/audio footage related to the case[.] [8] All body-worn camera (BWC) footage — including original video files and any related audio — captured by [an identified individual] on December 13, 2025 between 10:40 p.m. and 11:45 p.m.[;] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Karimi petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/0901, was opened as a result. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Ms. Karimi with a response to her request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
