Box 135 Lunenburg, MA 01462 Dear Ms. Warren-Dyment: I have received the petition of George and Jen Burden (the Burdens) appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Lunenburg (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 27, 2026, the Burdens requested: [1] All contracts, agreements, MOU’s, or engagement documents between the Town of Lunenburg, the Lunenburg Police Department, and Open Sky (or any related entity) concerning services provided by [identified]. [2] All records identifying the dates on which [identified] was engaged to perform services for or on behalf of the Lunenburg Police Department. [3] All documents describing the purpose, scope, or nature of her engagement including any approvals, authorizations, or internal communications related to her assignment. [4] Any records identifying who approved her involvement, under what authority, and for what specific functions. [5] Any invoices, billing records, or payment documentation related to services performed by [identified] or Open Sky for the Lunenburg Police department. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, the Burdens petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/1021, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Town has provided a response. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
