G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.06(4). As required by law, I understand that the Department furnished a copy of this petition to the requestor, Adela Aprodu, Esq., of Aprodu Law, PLLC. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv)(2). On March 17, 2026, Attorney Aprodu requested the following: [1] . . . Contracts, Applications or Written Agreements between the . . . Department and [an identified individual] in regards to his being hired as a civilian consultant between the dates of 01/01/2025 through 01/15/2026[;] [2] . . . [R]ecords of how much [an identified individual] was paid for these consultant duties in possession of the . . . Department’s payroll office between 08/01/2025 through 03/06/2026[;] [3] . . . [R]ecords to show all days that [an identified individual] worked as a consultant and what his last day as a consultant was for the . . . Department[;] [4] . . . [W]ritten records . . . to include all emails . . . between [an identified] Chief . . . and [an identified individual] that reference trigger word “consultant” between the dates of 01/01/2025 through 01/15/2026[;] [5] . . . [W]ritten records . . . to include all emails . . . between [an identified] Chief . . . or any other member of the . . . [W]ritten records . . . to include all emails . . . between [an identified] Chief . . . or any other member of the . . . Department, and the Lynn Personnel Department at city hall that reference anything to do with [an identified individual] being hired and subsequent employment as a civilian consultant between the dates of 01/01/2025 through 01/15/2026. Subsequently, in an email to this office on March 30, 2026, a representative for the Department confirmed, “I advised the requester there would be no fee associated with request.” The Department representative additionally provided a copy of the Department’s March 30, 2026 correspondence to Attorney Aprodu, in which the Department provided multiple responsive records and stated, “[a]ll documents pertaining this request have been released.” Conclusion In light of the above, it is unnecessary to opine on the Department’s fee petition.
