See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 5, 2026, Ms. Valentino requested “[a]ll emails between police officer employees regarding the death of [an identified individual] on December 16. the date of the collection would start on December 16 and would end today. this would be emails generated by police employees, irregardless of the recipient. This would also include emails, sent to police employees from any individual. [sic]” I understand the Department assigned reference number 2026-0178 to this request. Previous Appeal This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR26/0958 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (March 27, 2026). In my March 27th determination, I found that the Department had not met its burden to redact a responsive record under the Public Records Law. Subsequently, the Department responded on April 7, 2026. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Ms. Valentino petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR26/1269, was opened as a result. Conclusion Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, in an email to this office and the Department on April 14, 2026, Ms. Valentino states that “the Saugus Police Department and I resolved the issue between us. I ask you close the following cases . . . Spr/26 1269.” In light of Ms. Valentino’s April 14th email, I will now consider this appeal closed.
