See G. L. c. 66 § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 23, 2026, Mr. Patel requested the following records related to an identified individual for the period of 2017 to 2023: [1] Incident reports, arrest reports, and police narratives[;] [2] Any reports relating to criminal charges or investigations involving [an identified individual][;] [3] Witness statements, supplemental reports, and detective reports[.] The Department provided a response on April 3, 2026. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Patel petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/1285, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Patel with a supplemental response on April 10, 2026. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s April 3, 2026 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Mr. Patel may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s April 10th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
