Box 135 Lunenburg, MA 01462 Dear Ms. Warren-Dyment: I have received the petition of George and Jen Burden (the Burdens) appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Lunenburg (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 25, 2026, the Burdens requested the following records related to an identified incident: [1] The lobby video from the Lunenburg Police Department for [March 25, 2026], covering the full time period when [two identified individuals] were at the station together and when [an identified individual] returned to the station to retrieve the CDs related to: [t]he wastewater pumping station incident, and[;] [t]he incident reported to [an identified individual] involving [an identified individual] and his passenger yelling out the window as [an identified individual] drove past our home[.] [2] Any reports, notes, or documentation created by [an identified individual][.] [3] Any reports, notes, or communications by officers or staff in the back room during the time [two identified individuals] were present[.] [4] Any reports, notes, or documentation created when [an identified individual] returned to the station to retrieve the CDs[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, the Burdens petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/1344, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Town has provided a response.
