Box 135 Lunenburg, MA 01462 Dear Ms. Warren-Dyment: I have received the petition of George and Jen Burden (the Burdens) appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Lunenburg (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 30, 2026, the Burdens requested records related to an identified incident on March 28, 2026, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 AM. Specifically, the Burdens sought the following: [1] Body‑Worn Camera Footage[:] [A] [An identified individual][;] [B] Any other officer who interacted with the public or responded to the lobby during this timeframe[.] [2] Lobby Entrance Video[:] [A] Exterior front‑door camera(s)[;] [B] Any camera capturing entry/exit activity[.] [3] Interior Lobby Area Video[:] [A] Interior lobby[;] [B] Lobby phone area[;] [C] Public waiting area[;] [D] Any interaction between myself and responding officers[.] [4] Dispatch Area Audio/Video[:] [A] Dispatch room audio[;] [B] Dispatch room video[;] [C] Any internal communications related to the response to my presence[.] [5] Area Behind the Glass Window[:] [A] All video covering the area behind the front‑desk glass window[;] [B] Any personnel movement or activity during the timeframe[.] One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us Jennifer Warren-Dyment SPR26/1346 Page 2 April 22, 2026 Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, the Burdens petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/1346, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Town has provided a response. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide the Burdens with a response to their request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
