See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 1, 2026, Mr. Pacy requested the following: [1] [T]ext messages, call logs, and any associated records of phone communications (including voicemail, if applicable) conducted on March 18, 2026, between [multiple identified individuals][;] [2] [I]ncoming and outgoing text messages (SMS or messaging applications)[;] Call detail records (date, time, duration)[;] Any available transcripts, summaries, or notes related to these communications[;] Any meeting minutes or documentation referencing these communications on March 18, 2026[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Pacy petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR26/1412, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the School has provided a response. Accordingly, the School is ordered to provide Mr. Pacy with a response to his request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Pacy may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
