G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.06(4). As required by law, it is my understanding that the City furnished a copy of the petition to the requestor, Brian DeLacey, of Malden News Network. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv)(2). On June 10, 2026, Mr. DeLacey requested, “any emails which were sent from or received at any email address in the domain @cityofmalden.org where the subject, body, or searchable attachment includes the text ‘[an identified address]’, whether preceded or followed by any character, for the time period 09/01/25 to the date of this request.” Conclusion Subsequent to the opening of this petition, in an email to the City and this office on June 24, 2026, Mr. DeLacey stated, “[t]he underlying public records request has been withdrawn as of this date[.]” In light of the decision to withdraw the request, I find it is unnecessary to opine on the City’s petition at this time.
